Dr. Amy Youngblood

Amy is from Morgantown, Indiana.  She graduated from Purdue University School of Veterinary Medicine in 1998 and worked for Janssen Veterinary Clinic in Sheridan, IN for 2 years. After leaving Janssen's she worked in Columbus, IN for 1.5 years prior to Opening Southern Indiana Equine, Inc. in 2001.  Dr. Amy has always enjoyed barrel racing, but has been team roping for the last three years and continues to become more addicted all the time.  Dr. Amy's special interests lie mainly in Equine Reproduction, Equine dentistry and Performance Horse maintenance.  Amy and Jesse live at their farm in Austin and have 14 horses of their own.

Dr. Patty McDill

Patty is originally from Liberty, Indiana. She is a 2000 graduate of Purdue University School of Veterinary Medicine. Patty practiced in Madison, Indiana for 4.5 years and has been with Southern Indiana Equine for 2 years.  Patty was recently married in September and lives with her husband, Troy Craig, on their farm in Bedford, KY. Patty's special interest is in food animal medicine (cattle, sheep, goats and pigs) She enjoys traveling, camping and working on the farm.

Melissa Stewart

Melissa is our Office Manager/Secretary. She has worked at Southern Indiana Equine since the summer of 2003. Melissa graduated from Rising Sun High School and from Vincennes University with an Associate in Science degree in Administrative Assistance. Melissa is happily married to Jimmy and they enjoy camping and trail riding.

Jamie Alumbaugh

Jamie grew up in northern Indiana, and relocated to Scottsburg in
2000. Jamie has been a long term employee of Southern Indiana Equine with 2007 marking her 5thh year. Jamie is married to Scott w ho is supportive of her venture at Southern Indiana Equine.  In her free time she enjoys camping and trail riding.

Jean Haverty

Jean is a native of Northern Indiana. She and her family have settled in southern Indian after retiring from a career in the military. She started here in the fall of 2006.  Her favorite pastime is riding reining horses.

Jesse McPike

Jesse is a Bedford, IN native. Jesse graduated from McNeese State University with a degree in Animal Science and has worked for 12 years as a Union Iron Worker.  Jesse enjoys team roping with Amy, but his true passion with horses lies in Steer Wrestling. Jesse is recuperating from ACL knee surgery he had in December and is anxious to get back in the arena. Jesse has 3 sons, Elijah 9 yrs, Dane 17yrs, and Kerr 17yrs.

Casey Haverty

Casey is a student at Scottsburg High School. She moved here with her family in December of 2005.  Casey is the daughter of Jean and Bruce Haverty.  Casey works out in the barn and the large animal clinic.
